Select by workflow, not by a generic compatibility claim
Controller compatibility involves more than whether a device appears in a list. Check the exact hardware revision, audio interface, driver support and the licensing tier needed for the planned setup.
Windows drivers and audio routing
For troubleshooting, separate three questions: does Windows recognize the device, does the application receive its controls, and does audio reach the intended output? Fix them in that order.
Compatibility resources
The publisher maintains a hardware directory and individual manuals. Use those current resources for supported models rather than a frozen catalog copied from a retailer. This site does not operate a hardware store or promise compatibility with untested devices.
Before the first session
Start with a local track and the default mapping. Test deck control, the channel meters, speakers and headphones. Save a working configuration before remapping buttons or adding effects. See the controller setup guide for a repeatable checklist.
License checks
Review the publisher's free, Home and Pro conditions. Eligibility for one controller tier does not automatically cover every device or professional use.
